Yvonne Ndawana-Watadza launched the label Alpha Rose in 2006.The label specialises in women’s ready to wear, couture and bridal.
Alpha Rose design aesthetic is contemporary, feminine with a sophisticated elegance. Each piece is a celebration of womanhood.
Inspiration for the collections is drawn from the beautiful side of nature, the designer’s heritage, encounters with various cultures and occasional influences from previous fashion eras. Pieces from the collections are therefore a translation of diverse cultures, a love for textiles infused with the designer’s African heritage.
Alpha Rose recently showcased at the Clothing Indaba 2012, held at the Platinum Lifestyle lounge in Borrowdale and i had the honour of being present. Below are the shots that i took.
